Tax Tips For Musicians

January 15th came and passed with little to no fan-fare last week and rightfully so, perhaps, but the date is not void of significance. It means we’re now less than three months away from tax day…

[cue ghastly horror music]

Now, taxes don’t have to be a bad thing, but if you’re a professional musician like me they’re at least going to be complicated. Hopefully you’ve kept outstanding records over the last year and the tax paying process will be as pain-free as possible. I found this really good website on the subject that I wanted to share with you. It was written up by an independent music business consultant from Seattle named Christopher Knab. Here’s the link.
